  3. Common questions

Many prediction markets are about a price: where the S&P 500 finishes the year, whether Bitcoin reaches a level, what the Fed does to interest rates. The Stocks & Rates page lists those prices, with their latest values, and opens every market about each one.

#Open Stocks & Rates

Select Stocks & Rates in the row of Predictions pages. The page is titled Stocks, Rates & Coins.

Open Stocks & Rates

The Stocks and Rates page: a table of stocks, indexes, rates and coins that markets are about, with each one's last price, today's change, how many markets are about it and how much was bet today

The prices markets are about, with how many markets and how much money are on each.

  1. 1The price a market is about
  2. 2Its last price
  3. 3Today's change
  4. 4How many markets are about it
  5. 5Money traded on them today

Each row is a price that at least one market is about: an index, a stock, an interest rate or bond yield, a currency, a commodity or a coin. The columns are:

  • Price it is about: its name and symbol.
  • Last: its latest price.
  • Today: how much it has changed today.
  • Markets: how many markets are about it.
  • Bet today: the money traded in the last 24 hours on the markets about it.

Select a column heading to sort the table. The prices come from 4Search Finance and may be delayed up to 15 minutes.

#Every market about one price

Select an item's name to see all the markets about it. The page shows the price and today's change at the top, with a link to its page in 4Search Finance. Below, the markets are grouped by how they relate to the price:

  • Where traders see the item: markets that settle on its price, the item's own outlook.
  • About the company: markets about the company behind a stock.
  • On what it tracks: markets about the index, coin or commodity that a fund or stock follows.
  • What moves it: questions that move the price, such as an interest-rate decision.

The same chips appear elsewhere. Under many market cards, small chips such as SPY or BTC-USD show the price with today's change and open it in 4Search Finance. A market's page has a Prices it is about box, and the Economy, Finance and Crypto topic pages have a Prices these markets are about box.

#Common questions

Why does a market show a price it is not exactly about?

A market can be linked to prices that it moves or that track its subject, such as a fund that follows an index. On the price's own page, the group heading, such as On what it tracks or What moves it, says how the market is related.

Why is a price missing or shown as a dash?

The latest price is not available for that item at the moment. The markets about it are still listed.

Where do I look up the company itself?

Open the item's page in 4Search Finance from the link beside its price. See Finance.
