Video shows chaotic scene during immigration detainment in Worcester County

(CNN) The Department of Homeland Security said the woman, her husband, and a toddler were in a car when ICE stopped them in Fitchburg. As federal agents tried to pull the woman out of the vehicle, the man in the driver's seat said he lost consciousness. In video of the incident, agents are seen tapping the man's face and later putting him in a headlock as they got him out of the car. DHS said ICE called 911 but the man refused medical treatment. Officers patrolling the North end on Nov. 12 said they saw a vehicle parked inside the Dias Field lot shortly after 9 p.m. All recreational parks in the city are closed from dusk to dawn, making the cars subject to trespassing violations. Police said they approached the vehicle and saw a large amount of smoke coming from inside. Officers also said they saw two rolled marijuana joints in the center console. Massachusetts State Police respond to fatal crash

The crash involved two vehicles and happened around 1:15 a.m. on the Lowell Connector. The highway was closed for hours near Exit 5A while crews worked the scene. Police believe a wrong way driver traveling outbound in an inbound lane caused the crash. The wrong-way driver was arrested and charged for OUI, negligent operation and other charges. He was identified as 29-year-old Derek Witzenman of Woburn. The passenger and operator of the second vehicle were airlifted to Boston for care. The operator died because of their injuries. Witzenman is expected to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Wednesday....

According to officials, New Bedford police were called to 122 Sawyer St. on Monday for a report of a dead man. Police said they found 83-year-old Antonio Valente at the shoreline. Valente had been reported missing on Sunday by his family members. The report had prompted a wide search by law enforcement. The district attorney's office said foul play is not suspected.
